We did it again! We made these New Year’s Resolutions and now that we’re three weeks in we’re wondering what we were thinking! Must have been those drinks we had on New Year’s Eve!
If you find that you’re already struggling with those resolutions to lose weight and live healthier, don’t despair. Here are three easy tips to help get you right back on track!
1. Reward yourself for the things you’re doing right – but not with food! – You may think that you’ve done so well with your New Year’s Resolutions this week that you deserve a cupcake or a meal at your favorite restaurant. Well, you’re right about one thing, you DO deserve a reward for a job well done! This can encourage you to stay on the right path. BUT, choose a reward other than food. Try a nice massage, go see a movie, buy that new sweater you’ve had your eye on, but steer clear of food that is only going to make you feel guilty after you eat it!
2. Start the day with a meal replacement shake - This one simple step will curb hunger, help burn fat, gently cleanse your body, and help you sustain energy longer. A meal replacement shake should take you through 4 hours of your day before you need to eat again. This means fewer calorie intake throughout the day without feeling deprived or hungry. Recent studies show that drinking meal replacement shakes for breakfast can increase weight loss by as much as 45%!
SoCal Cleanse Organic Protein +Detox is made with easy to digest hemp protein so you won’t be left feeling bloated like you do with soy or whey protein plus it has a boost of detoxifying ingredients to cleanse and release toxins stored in body fat so you can burn it quicker and easier!
3. Remember, You. Do. Not. Have. To. Be. Perfect – Many of us make these New Year’s Resolutions thinking it’s all or nothing! The first time we slip up we think, “Great! We’ve blown it already!”. What a terrible thing to do to yourself! Instead, praise yourself for the forward movement you’re making, realize that this is a goal you’ve set for life, and make the decision that tomorrow will be better.
By the way, if you’ve set unrealistic goals for the new year such as, “I am giving up sugar for good.”, revise that to be, “I am working every day to cut back my sugar intake and boost my overall health.” See the difference?! It’s MUCH less pressure and you’re more likely to maintain your resolutions and adopt them as lifestyle changes.
