This morning as I poured myself a hot cup of green tea with jasmine, I immediately remembered how I used to be completely addicted to coffee which led me down a path of remembering when I used to be completely addicted to everything – food, drugs, relationships, you name it and how far I’ve come since then.

I certainly didn’t do it alone but I did it.

I devoured books like A Course In Miracles, Remember, Be Here Now and You Can Heal Your Life.

I studied at some of the countries most prestigious institutions and worked with some amazing teachers.

I adopted a practice of Kundalini yoga and began eating a plant-based diet.

I radically transformed my body and my life because I believed I could.  I believed in miracles.

Which is why I’m so thrilled to kick off 2013 with an exciting announcement

My dear friend Gabrielle Bernstein just launched her third book and it’s a doozy!  May Cause Miracles: A 40-Day Guidebook of Subtle Shifts for Radical Change, is now available in a beautiful hardcover and as an e-book.

May Cause Miracles by Gabrielle Bernstein

Can it really cause miracles?

Absolutely!  May Cause Miracles is a six-week guide that enlightens, inspires, and empowers. Gabrielle helps you clear through blocks and discover authentic happiness in every aspect of your life.  I’m personally going through it and it’s causing some major shifts for me!

With the structure and support provided by May Cause Miracles, you’ll transform your relationships to friends, family, romantic partners, work and money, your bodies, and the world.

By adding up subtle shifts, you’ll create long-lasting, miraculous change. (Translation: Did you make a New Year’s resolution? THIS is how to make it stick.)

A little about Gabrielle

If you’re not yet familiar with Gabrielle, she was just featured as a new thought leader on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday. (Seriously, what’s up with all my buds being on Oprah lately?!  I’m SO proud of them!) She’s the best-selling author of Spirit Junkie: A Radical Road to Self-Love and Miracles (recently out in paperback!) and Add More Ing to Your Life: A Hip Guide to Happiness.

Gabby is an incredible inspirational speaker and teacher of A Course in Miracles—and believe me when I say she not only talks the talk, she walks the walk.

Ready for amazing change?

Check this out: When you give yourself the gift of May Cause Miracles you get some uber bonus gifts, too. You’ll receive:

  • Gabby’s video course on how to manifest your desires in 2013

This year I want to make a change in my life by changing my attitude, de-stressing my life and getting my hormones in check due to perimenopause. This is a big task especially when you don’t feel good half of the time. Last year I changed my diet by using the PINK Method. This has seemed to help me feel better Thanks Cynthia

I HEAR you Elaine!!!! And I just want to say that you are not alone.

I hear this and I know it and so many women are just like you. I’m really feeling my calling into this arena to help women with more than just the physical “how”.

I’ll be using your response in my post today. ;)

    SO much love!

LOVE that Sheila!!! How about starting one day at a time? Spend 10 -15 minutes first thing every morning and another 1 0- 15 minutes at the end of your day taking those next steps to get organized and you’ll be shocked at how fast it comes together! xoxox

This is hard for me to admit so I will give a little background first. Back in the mid 90′s I went though some really dramatic shifts spiritually and physically. I read a book called the Celestine Prophesy and it changed my life. I was so thirsty for knowledge about my spirit beyond the Catholic faith and the God I grew up with that I read every book and studied every alternative idea out there until I felt satiated. I found A Course in Miracles to be the most satisfying and was also able to have all three Reike attunements which opened a flood gate of changes. I lost weight, became more energetic and let go of so many emotional blocks. I think it awakened my true desire which has always been to help others heal. I can look at a person and see their goodness even if they can’t and I can hold that light for them until they see it for themselves. I was raising a daughter as a single mom and trying to make it as a Reike practitioner. It was challenging and I was unable to succeed at it.

Since then, I have decided that the best way I can help others is to be there on the front lines in everyday life. I am an assembler at a factory. I am a grocery shopper. I am a friend working out at the gym. I am a stranger waiting for a bus. I can be a messenger of God without having to hang a shingle on my door and call myself something “important”….right? Well I am not sure. I do like living an ordinary life but….and here is where it is hard…I think I have sold myself short. I don’t want to go back to school and jump through all those hoops to become a counselor or therapist. I consider myself more like a Spiritual Advisor, but not a pastor or priest. They haven’t really invented a curriculum in our standard colleges for what I am and would like to excel at.

Also, I have all these voices in my head telling me….How in the world are you going to be able to afford to go back to college…..or….Who in the midwest is going to want Reike treatments…..they are going to think you are so strange!

So here is my wish list for 2013. I would like to move in a more creative direction with my life. I would like to rediscover the artist in me….I am a good artist and I love creating things but I have just gotten so busy with living and earning money that I have let this part of me go dormant. I would like to see the Spiritual Advisor in me re-awaken. I would like to have more opportunities to express that part of myself. It is possible that the two can be connected and that by doing one, the other will follow. I am not wishing right now for a complete change in my way of life. I may still be an assembler at a factory but I am saying that I want my true colors to shine more brightly. I want to make a difference in many lives. <3

Maggie – wow! This is so beautiful and I really want to honor you for opening up and sharing in such a big way. I believe with everything in me that THIS is the moment you life changed. I know you CAN go through the motions and be an assembler in a factory, a friend, a shopper, etc. but I feel that part of your life is done.

You will NOT be happy staying where you are nor should you be. You have a really beautiful gift and you’re not honoring yourself, the Source or the many people you can help by playing small and staying in the shadow. YOU know this deep down, I know you do.

You do not have to have permission from ANYONE to do the work you are called to do. You don’t need a “certification” or a school to educate you when the authority is flowing through you. This is just an excuse for you being held back. The voices you hear in your head is nothing but ego and ego is always fear. It never wants you to move forward and embrace what is rightfully yours. It’s a great protector but also a great limitation. Don’t listen to it. Thank it for being present for you and for always having your back but let it know that you’ll take it from here.

Maggie, this is your time! You know this. Make it happen!

Holding SO much space for you and sending you SO much love!
