Do you want a healthier alternative to all those sugar-laden, unhealthy Shamrock Shakes floating around for St. Patty’s Day? Then keep reading, beautiful because I’m hooking you up!

This is one of my favorite shake recipes!  It’s completely vegan, completely delicious, and combines healthy protein with anti-aging superfoods.  And it’s green.  What more could a girl ask for? (Ok, probably lots of things but just go with me here.)

Drumroll, please…

Presenting my Sexy Superfood Shamrock Shake! (Say that five times fast!)

Sexy Superfood Shamrock Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 1 Banana (frozen for extra thickness)
  • 1/2 cup raw Cashews
  • 1/2 Medjool Date, pitted
  • 2 – 3 mint leaves (or 2 drops peppermint extract)
  • 1 tsp raw cacao powder
  • 2 cups Ice
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

Blend in blender until creamy and smooth.

Other options:

  • Add chocolate protein powder instead of raw cacao powder for a protein boost!
  • Use ½ – 2/3 cup (depending on desired thickness) coconut or almond milk instead of cashews
  • Use raw cacao nibs instead of powder
  • Substitute stevia for date

Let me know your thoughts and how YOU made this delicious treat in the comments below!

Used Vanilla protein powder with 1 cup spinach, 2/3 cup almond milk, 2 coconut milk ice cubes, 1 frozen banana, 3 pkgs of Truvia. SWEET and GREEN! Fits the bill for St. Patty’s day. Liked it. Didn’t have cashews and out of dates or I would have tried using them as well. I’m not much of a mint person especially in the winter. However, I’ll use it on occasion in the summer for it’s cooling properties. Thanks for the green drink. Love St. Pat’s day fun. Hope you are feeling better.
