Feel the Flu Coming On? Beat It with Exercise!

The last thing you probably feel like doing when you have the flu is exercise!  That’s why you exercise BEFORE you get the flu!  New studies have shown that people who exercise moderately have fewer and less severs colds and flu infections than people who don’t.

Moderate exercise boosts areas of the immune system that help limit a viral attack or help clear an invading virus form the body more quickly.

One word of caution… make sure to keep your workout moderate.  The same study found that exhausting workouts may actually increase a person’s vulnerability to the cold or flu!
