How Jennifer Love Hewitt Lost 18 Pounds in 10 Weeks

After Jennifer Love Hewitt was spotted showing off a fuller figure in a bikini last November, the negative publicity just kept coming and lasted for months. Now, Jennifer is flaunting a super hot body after losing 18 pounds in 10 weeks! The Ghost Whisperer star told Us Weekly,

“They said some rude, mean things, but that’s not why I wanted to change. I’m still sexy, curvy.”

The actress worked with trainer, Stevie Sant’Angelo, to tone up her 5’3″ figure. Sant’Angelo customized a nutritional plan that totals 1250 to 1500 calories and is heavy on fruits, veggies and protein. She says,

“The less processed, the better. When you teach someone to eat properly, it’s about eyeballing portions.”

In addition to eating properly, Jennifer also fits in an hourlong workout three to four times a week. Her trainer focuses on her legs, core, and rear with plenty of cardio (jumping rope, running, spinning) and an exhausting routine of lunges, pushups, crunches, body planks and weight work (Jennifer is a champ at hoisting 18 pound kettlebells).

She’s accomplished a lot in a very short time but the star isn’t slowing down anytime soon. She starts training for the Los Angeles marathon in September as well as planning her impending wedding! She says,

“I want to be Ross’ partner until I’m 80, so I need to live a long time. You go to the gym more and you take care of yourself more just for the people around that you love so that you can have a longer life.”

She’s eating healthy, great. She’s working out, great. But….this is a drastic change in attitude from her “I’m fine the way I am, I’m a size 4″ stance of before. I find it hard to believe that the negative attention had nothing to do with this weight loss, and that’s really too bad. For everyone!

Well that’s true “Fitted Bottomed Girls” but it is always encouraging that she did it the healthy and safe way…and was motivated by health/nutrition not just weight loss.

She is looking lovely. But how come these celebrities lose weight so fast and are back in shape?

FBGs – I tend to think that we all care about what people think about us to an extent and comments like the ones made about her do affect us and make us want to change. Even though we like to say – and think – they had no impact, deep down they do.

Lourdes – Good point.

Mark – see above. ;)

MizFit – Me too, MizFit.

Health Specialist – I think they all have their reasons for slimming down. That, coupled with the demands of their business make them want/need to do it quickly.
