She doesn&#8217;t eat too much food and she doesn&#8217;t do too much exercise. Although, in preparation for the Golden Globes, she worked out with her trainer, Gunnar Peterson twice a day &#8211; while still enjoying her deserts. <img src='http://www.cynthiapasquella.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  She says she doesn’t like to workout AND diet so she will only do one or the other at one time. How much do we love her attitude?!</p>
<p>She also swears by moderation and uses portion sizes to keep her on track.</p>
<p><strong>How You Can Do It Too:</strong><br />
You can use something you have with you all the time to find the portion size that&#8217;s right for you &#8211; your hand. It&#8217;s directly proportional to your body and super simple. I call this the “Hands On” approach. Fun, right?! <img src='http://www.cynthiapasquella.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Here are the guidelines you want to remember:</p>
<p>- Your thumb is about the size of 1 oz so use it for measuring cheese<br />
- The palm is about 3 oz so use it for meat serving sizes<br />
- A cupped hand is about the size of 1/2 cup so you can use that for grains</p>
<p>Two cupped hands hold a serving of leafy salad greens<br />
A clenched fist is the ideal serving size for a piece of fruit</p>

The diet consists of eating five meals a day (breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner). Each meal is made up of a healthy carb, a healthy fat, 5-10 grams of fiber, lean protein and a sugar-free beverage. And, they&#8217;ve made it easy by offering a meal delivery service &#8211; which Michelle took advantage of to help her prepare for the Golden Globes. She also does the 5 Factor workouts which focuses on 5 different workouts 5 days/week.</p>

You go home with a ton of meals ready to put in the fridge or freezer so you have healthy meals in minutes all week long!</p>

<p>I hope you’re all staying warm and cozy on this winter day. It’s officially 41 degrees in Los Angeles. How is that possible? I gotta call someone about that.</p>
<p>But first…. I wanted to share the delish recipes with you that I shared on <a href="http://www.thedoctorstv.com/" target="_blank"><em><strong>The Doctors</strong></em></a> TV show last week! The show was all about adding years to your life and <strong>Dr. Travis Stork</strong> revealed that you can add up to 2 years to your life by simply eating 1 cup of raw veggies per day. I say if you’re gonna have a hottie-tottie body then you might as well spend a little extra time in it!</p>

<p><strong>Spinach Avocado Dip</strong><br />
2 avocados<br />
1 cup raw spinach<br />
2 large cloves garlic<br />
2 tablespoons lemon juice<br />
Sea salt, to taste</p>
<p>Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Dip baby carrots and sliced cucumber for a healthy snack.</p>

<p><strong>Zucchini Spring Rolls</strong><br />
3 zucchini<br />
1 carrot, sliced thinly<br />
1 cucumber, sliced thinly<br />
1 red bell pepper, sliced thinly<br />
1 avocado, sliced<br />
Low-sodium soy sauce for dipping</p>
<p>Slice zucchini thinly using a knife or mandolin. Add veggies to zucchini slices and roll up. Dip in low-sodium soy sauce and enjoy!</p>

<p><strong>Kale No-Milk Shake</strong><br />
1 cup Kale<br />
1 Banana<br />
1 cup Cashews<br />
1 tbsp Agave Nectar<br />
Ice</p>
<p>Combine all ingredients in a blender, pour and sip through a straw.<br />
