Hey Loves!

I was THRILLED to be on The TODAY Show to share the secrets of how those gorgeous celebs on the Golden Globes red carpet looked so amazing! In case you missed the show, here’s a quick run-down on how they did it AND how you can too, in the comfort of your own home!

You can read all the details below and watch the clip HERE!

First up…

Rooney Mara – Our Juicing Girl
In addition to a healthy diet, Rooney drinks Pressed Juicery juices to slim down and stay healthy. One of her favorites is the Greens 1 made with kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, parsley, cucumber, and celery. It’s super alkalizing to the body and packed with vitamins and minerals which gives you energy, reduces puffiness, and makes your skin glow.

How You Can Do It Too:
Pick up a juicer and combine kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, parsley, cucumber, and celery and drink up! Or, make it easy on yourself and visit www.PressedJuicery.com to have the juices delivered directly to your doorstep.

Charlize Theron – Our Cleansing and Whole Foods Girl
In addition to eating healthy meals that includes raw fruits and veggies and cutting out things like alcohol, Charlize is a fan of detoxifying hemp shakes. They’re super rich in soluble and insoluble fiber to keep you full for hours AND fiber helps to absorb extra calories and flush them out of your body so they’re not stored as fat. Fiber also stabilizes blood sugar to help keep those sugar cravings at bay.

Also, hemp isn’t a common allergen like soy or whey so your tummy is flat instead of “poochy” after drinking it. And as if this weren’t enough awesomeness, these shakes are packed with nutrients including omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids which makes your hair and skin glow!

As for her workouts, she loves to head outdoors for walking or riding her bike.

How You Can Do It Too:
To make the detoxifying hemp shake seen on the TODAY Show, pick up some SoCal Cleanse Organic Protein +Detox HERE and follow the simple recipe below:

SoCal Cleanse Berry Clean Detox Smoothie

4 Tbsp. SoCal Cleanse Organic Protein +Detox powder
1 c. organic almond or coconut milk
1 banana, peeled
¼ c. organic fresh or frozen blueberries
¼ c. organic fresh or frozen raspberries

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for two minutes. Enjoy.

Sofia Vergara – Our Everything In Moderation Girl
Sofia focuses on eating organic meals and avoids red meat. And, the buxom beauty isn’t one to give anything up completely. She’s a “too much” girl. She doesn’t eat too much food and she doesn’t do too much exercise. Although, in preparation for the Golden Globes, she worked out with her trainer, Gunnar Peterson twice a day – while still enjoying her deserts. :) She says she doesn’t like to workout AND diet so she will only do one or the other at one time. How much do we love her attitude?!

She also swears by moderation and uses portion sizes to keep her on track.

How You Can Do It Too:
You can use something you have with you all the time to find the portion size that’s right for you – your hand. It’s directly proportional to your body and super simple. I call this the “Hands On” approach. Fun, right?! :)

Here are the guidelines you want to remember:

- Your thumb is about the size of 1 oz so use it for measuring cheese
- The palm is about 3 oz so use it for meat serving sizes
- A cupped hand is about the size of 1/2 cup so you can use that for grains

Two cupped hands hold a serving of leafy salad greens
A clenched fist is the ideal serving size for a piece of fruit

Michelle Williams – Our Meal Delivery / Done For You Girl
Michelle Williams follows the 5-Factor Diet, created by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. The diet consists of eating five meals a day (breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner). Each meal is made up of a healthy carb, a healthy fat, 5-10 grams of fiber, lean protein and a sugar-free beverage. And, they’ve made it easy by offering a meal delivery service – which Michelle took advantage of to help her prepare for the Golden Globes. She also does the 5 Factor workouts which focuses on 5 different workouts 5 days/week.

How You Can Do It Too:
Create your own menus using the guidelines for the 5-Factor Diet above (for more details and amazing information, pick up a copy of the book).

If a meal delivery service is out of your budget, get a group of people together and throw a “Batch Cooking Party”. In a nutshell, everyone picks a dish or two that they’re responsible for preparing. Go to the person’s house with the biggest kitchen, put on some fun music and start cooking! When all the dishes are done, they’re divided up and put into Tupperware bowls and everyone shares. You go home with a ton of meals ready to put in the fridge or freezer so you have healthy meals in minutes all week long!

Pick a few tips and start implementing them today! Soon, you’ll be ready for your very own red carpet moment!
